Merida 904 review

WOW !!!!!! Merida 904 2012 90/100 on test now only £999.99 with 105 got to be the must have bike for next year and now inside the cycle to work scheme. This bike was £1400.00 in 2011. Check out cycle active January issue. BUT if you want a mega bargain we have the 2011 model which is slightly higher spec. than the 2012 model for £900.00. This bike is FULL 105 with shimano wheels and slightly higher spec. on the finishing kit. We Still have a evo 904 at £1299.99 with 105 which has to be the best bargain carbon out there.The size is M/L 56cm. If you want a carbon bike for under £2K this is a must.YOU WONT FIND BETTER.

Mega clearance on bikes

Hurray we can now discount our 2011 bikes on line and not just in store. Some of the bikes are below cost price as we need to shift before the new year. Looking at most of the 2012 bikes they seem to be the same as 2011 but a different color scheme. So grab a MEGA bargain before we strip the for parts as they are still current Shimano. Kids bike for Xmas

WOW!!!!!! just cant get anothe kids bikes . Crazy as we don't sell cheap nasty bikes that seem so popular this time of year. Dawes seem to be the brand this session offering good looks with a quality build and attention to detail. All our bikes use light alloy frames and metal parts where needed not cheap plastic. WE ALSO have a fantastic range of kids helmets all with 25% off RSP so there is no excuse not to get one. NOTE all our kids bikes are fully built and checked before you take it away plus we offer a FREE safety check after 6-8 weeks.

Xmas open hours

Christmas is almost here so to help we have extended our opening hours

We are only allowed to offer a limited discount on our site. Please Please phone first as we have a lot of bikes in storage so we will need to bring up to the shop. We are trying to keep our site up to date with stock and quantities, but stock levels are changing constantly.

Bike of the week

This week we have two bikes. First a Merida road race 94 then a road ride 94. They are the same spec. but the road ride is a more of a all day bike with a longer head tube and shallower drop to the bars. The race comes with 23mm tyres where the ride has 25mm. Both use 6066 triple butted frames and are FULLY 105 equipped inc. shimano RS 30 wheel sets. The retail price on the bikes are £1399.99 but our price is £950.00. We only have very ltd stock of each model so don't miss out. These bikes rides fantastic with great attention to detail which is found lacking in a lot of other bikes from so called better brands. If you already have a Merida you know how good these are. Both bikes are on display in the shop. Sorry we don't mail order our bikes as we like to set them up to our customers but trust me they are well worth a trip in. Phone first to check sizes in stock.

Hurray the shop is now finished and we are back to normal . We have a lot of catching up to do in lost sales so we are clearing out ALL our bikes. Call in and grab a bargain everything has got to go to make way for new stock.

Clearance Claud Butlers

Sorry ALL the Claud Butlers have sold out ..... Phew!! They didn't hang around!! What we are going to do is have one model of bike a week on special at a super reduced price - be it Merida, Corrotec, Dawes etc..... we will also select a brand ie Polar and do a crazy on that as well. We can't advertise the price on the web so you will need to pop in but we will give you the model and spec.

Road bike clearout

We need to clear out our Merida road bikes ready for the 2012 models. So grab yourself a bargain. Please don't phone for a price you will need to pop in. We will not be able to send out bikes, only through the shop. We do have some one of models from 2009 & 2010 inc. Claud Butler & Corrotec ' but when they have gone there gone.Most the time there the same bike in a different colour.eg Claud butler 6061 frame carbon fork full sora for £430.00 down from £599.99 Dont be a brand snob this is a good bike and I have seen so called better brands with a cheaper frame, STEEL forks and cheap parts for £500.00 and the frame is made in the same factory.

Student bikes

We have had some Barrossa Monaco alloy hybrid bikes from Dawes They retail for £250.00 but we are doing them for £200.00 c/w a quality Light set, lock and bottle/cage. They are good bikes they should last a few years, not the normal rubbish I have seen for the same money. Check out the Dawes web site for the full spec .They will make an ideal student/commute bike as they have rack and full length mudguards .We only have a very limited stock and they won't be at this price with the free goods again.

MAVIC PRO DEALER

Hurray! We are now a Mavic Pro Dealer! That means we can offer at a small price 2 year insurance on our wheels. The cost to the customer is approx. 9% of the retail price of the wheels. Check out mavic's web site its called MP3. We also carry a large range of mavic spokes so you don't have to wait a week for them to be sent out. Our top end bikes are still flying out the door must be our new shop or the weather even M.T.Bs have started moving. We still have a few Merida and Corretec road bikes we are clearing out to make way for the 2012 models also we are also looking at new manufactures to stock, but as the shop is rammed we need to clear out old stock .The photo is of a Raleigh M-Trax 4.0 Retail price of £1299.99 we have one in stock delivered to us Thursday we can do for £750.00 it is a 20" frame with carbon seat stays and sram 9 group set .

Full carbon xt equiped with fox forks

O my gosh its light .This is my customers 3rd Merida mtb. 984 on the plate stuck to the BB is the weight ,as each frame is check and the plate is to confirm to weight.The flat pedals are an add on as comes with white SPds.This frame was voted best carbon hardtail you can get.
The frame has 10mm of travel at the rear end for shock but is stiff at the BB for climbing and response. Go on you know you want one.

What a week

What can you say ? .Just got the shop finished and looking nice and someone does this.O well I was not sure about that shade of blue anyway.Plus side we have got some bikes with scratches and marks (mostly ladies hybrids)discounted .Cant say the same for the lovely Look carbon & Massi Carbon that I had just finished building ready to go out, or the 2 Merida Full suss M.T.Bs that were taken .We got them back in less than an hour but they had fallen of the roof of the car in the chase. (I would like to say Thank you to the police for there fantastic service in returning the bikes and the way they helped me with sorting the shop out )We will wait for the loss adjuster to look at them and they will be hopfully repaired and sold at a very reduced price.

Well its done we are now relocated!!!! The new shop is stocked out and looks fab ........ BUT its a bit smaller than our old shop so we have run out of space. We need to get rid of some more stock!!!! I will put some photos on A.S.A.P. OR pop in and see our offers, 50% off most of our clothing, 25% off selected MET helmets, 35% off lights plus plenty of other bargains.

WOW !!! Where did April go? I missed that month.

Well what's new? The shop has been rammed with repairs and sales - road bikes and Hybrids flying out like there's no tomorrow.

Just had our first drop of Merida Test bikes. The new Road ride 95 and the 120 travel 800 -D MTB incorporating the new 10sp SLX groupset. Also, coming in next week an evo. 904 carbon road bike and a Matts trail 300-D hard tail so you can now try before you buy.

We are still clearing out stock ready for the big move but its going fast and have 25% off helmets, clothing and accessories.

Can't wait to move as most weekends are spent painting and rubbing down wood work, however, the alarm being fitted now so all systems go - just a few more weeks. Pop in and pick up a bargain while we still have some 2010 bikes - they have got to go before we move.
